Venus has incorporated validation warnings into a comprehensive Compliance Management system.
Compliance Management can be managed a number of ways. It can be through system-wide settings where non-compliant Nurses are automatically removed from the rating results or by your trained allocation team reviewing validation warnings for each shift where a potential compliance issue is identified by Venus.
To remove the decision from your allocation team set the following system -wide settings: -
Compliance Management: Checks
Data Entry > Types > Checks
When Mandatory is selected against a Check, it is a system-wide process where Venus automatically removes all non-compliant Nurses from the rating results.
“Always Check” will include Nurses in the results and display a validation warning where required.
Hospitals > Checks tab
When Mandatory is selected against a Check for specific Hospital, it a process where all Nurses who are non-compliance for that Check with that Hospital are removed from the rating results.
Compliance Management: Nurse Registration
Data Entry > Shift Request & Roster Setup > Prevent rostering with expired registration
To remove all Nurses with expired Registration from rating results, select “Yes”.
Compliance Management: Visa
Data Entry > Shift Request & Roster Setup > Prevent rostering with expired visa
To remove all Nurses with expired Visa from rating results, select “Yes”.
Compliance Management: Validation Warnings
Data Entry > Shift Request & Roster Setup > remove Nurses with warnings from rating
To set a system-wide, global validation process that removes all Nurses with any warning from rating results, select “Yes”.
Warnings are displayed when:
- Registration is not current
- Visa has expired
- Checks are selected as “Always check” on data entry
- Checks are selected for a Hospital
- Driver’s License is not current, and it has been selected against a Hospital Details tab
To allow your Team to assess validation warning for each Nurse on a shift by shift basis, do not select any of the Compliance Management settings. Venus will issue a validation warning when rostering a Nurse where the above items are not-compliant.
Validation warnings are displayed:
- With a right click on a Nurse name in rating results; or
- During the rostering process.
Alternatively, your Team can select the “Remove Nurses with warnings” option on the rating results screen.
Use Nurse Search with bulk email to assist with Compliance Management
Nurse > Nurse Search
Use Nurse Search to identify Nurses with expired or soon to expire Checks and send a bulk email to all Nurses. A copy of the email is retained against each Nurse recipient.
