A Patient’s preferred start and end times for the various shifts can be recorded on this tab.
The times are used on the shift request and roster screens and can be over-typed where required.
Patient Visit Requests and Ratings
Patient visit requests can be recorded on the Multiple Shift Request, the Single Shift Rating and by inserting a Roster.
Patient visit requests are recorded in the same way as other shifts request except the Patient’s name will be listed at the top of the Department field for the Hospital or Agency linked to the Patient.
If the Funding Management Module is active in your Venus, you can create shift requests and rosters, and modify both, on the Patient Shifts tab.
The Patient’s start and end times for a shift will be inserted for shift requests.
A Patient’s skill requirements for a shift can be automatically added to all shift requests using the global setting under Data Entry > Shift & Roster Setup > Shift Requests – auto add Patient skills.
Alternatively, if the above setting is not selected you can add skills to each shift request as they are recorded. The skills screen will display the skills selected for a Patient, select the skills required for this visit. Alternatively, select “Show All Skills” to select one-off requirements.
To insert Services for a Visit, you must select the Patient Services button. Only Services recorded for the Patient in the Patient Services tab will appear in the drop-down menus.
The Patient button opens the Patient Summary screen.
When using the Multiple and Single Shift Rating screens the Availability Filter can be activated to filter the available Carers and Nurses based on the requirements of the Hospital or Community House. This information is recorded on the Hospital Availability Filter tab.
When a Patient’s visit is being rated by Venus the distance calculation is based on the distance between the Nurse base suburb and the Patient base suburb.
Patient visits can be cloned on the Multiple Shift Request and Roster screens in the same way as a shift.
